Photography question and Sperry giveaway winner

A quick question for all the former brides out there- how long did it take you to see the proofs of your wedding pictures? At the wedding, our photographer told us that her turnaround time is 4-6 weeks. So far, she has only posted one picture as a "teaser" on her facebook page and I have not seen any others from her. Two friends who got married after us already have their professional pictures posted on facebook. I understand that you need to wait for quality work, and appreciate that, but patience is not a virtue that I possess at all and I just want to see my pictures already!

With that said, I realized that even though I had picked a winner for the Sperry Top-Sider giveaway, I had never posted it on here, which would explain why the winner hadn't contacted me. Whoops. Sorry folks, it was a bit of a drama-filled weekend over in my neck of the woods. Anyways, enough rambling, seriously, congratulations to

Please email me with your mailing address, shoe size, and the pair you would like and I will pass that along.

Many thanks again to Sperry Top-Sider for sponsoring this giveaway.

  1. Ours took the 4-6 weeks mark... He did post more than just one as a teaser, though, within a week or two... Hope they are done soon!

  2. As a professional photographer, I usually have a teaser or a few available in 24-48 hours after the event. Assuming that I am not solid booked. In general I am as excited to see the pics as the clients are, so browse them through as soon as I can.
But it really depends on the photographer, some are faster than the others. 4-6 weeks sounds reasonable for fully edited pics.

  3. Proofs? I got about 10 shots a week after our wedding, then I got the WHOLE cd (and all rights to images) about 5 months later..... And whoa sperry giveaway winner! I'm jealous!

  4. I don't recall how long it took us to get ours, maybe a few weeks. I had to pick up the proof album from our photographer... it was back in the day...

  6. All the weddings I have been in.. professional photos were given to them in 4-5 weeks. One of my girlfriends got a few sneak peaks so they could use one to make thank you post cards!
