hi my name is MRM and I am socially awkward when it comes to boys
I have seriously the worst luck of anyone I know when it comes to boys. I mean this literally. How many other girls can say that their date's only hobby was porn? I can't think of any. Well, this weekend, the stars aligned, hell got a little chilly, a couple of pigs decided that the Wright Brothers were their role models and emulated them, and this boy that I've had a crush on for, oh quite some time now, asked me out. I was at a Purim party that he hosted on Saturday night and we talked for a bit and he bought me a drink. I didn't think he was into me (story of my life) but on Sunday morning when I wrote on his facebook wall to say "thanks for inviting me, I had fun :)" he sent me back a message asking if I wanted to grab a drink this week and if he could get my number. For any normal girl (heavy emphasis on the word normal), having a guy that she really likes ask her out would be a good thing. However, this is me we're talking about. This means that I am now spazzing and nervous and have somehow managed to regress to age 15 and this pretty much guarantees that the date will not go well. I'm giddy and trying to stay calm about this. At least now it gives me an excuse to buy one of the Lilly date tops from my favorite things post.

ReplyDeleteYou've won half the battle - he asked you out! - i'm sure the rest will be just as lucky!
Any excuse to buy a Lilly date top is a good one :)
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing, now it is definite that we were separated at birth! (Give or take 20 years or so...!) That is precisely how we used to react!
ReplyDeleteOn the upside tho', it does provide the excuse you mentioned to acquire at least one new Lilly top!
Cute post!

Oh honey you are not alone, trust this. Hell, I wouldn't have even thanked him on his facebook wall. I would have silently stalked him to death. Then obsess about some other slagface who comments on his wall and thanks him for shizz. Story of MY life :(
